The band debuted at the festival Zagrebfest 1988th with the song "Last Tears" (music by Dalibor Musap - Emilija Kokic text), and the beginning of 1989th as a representative of the Zagreb Television Jugoviziji in Novi Sad has attained a performance at the Eurovision Song Contest. Riva is the song Rock Me (music Rajko Dujmic - Stevo Cvikić text) won first place at the Eurovision Song Contest held on 6 May 1989. in Lausanne, Switzerland, with a total of 137 points. It is also the only victory of Yugoslavia, and Croatian representatives in the Eurovision contest. That same year, Eurovision is the Riva in America, and at Distant Accords Festival Awards in Nashville wins fourth location.
