FLOWER SQUARE (TRG PETRA PRERADOVIĆA)

Petra Preradovića Square in Zagreb, named after the great man at Renaissance. Among Zagrebers is generally known as the Flower Square
by kiosks with flowers that are traditionally placed there. Is a favorite of coffee drinking and socializing.

Square was founded by demolishing a block of buildings that were there contained 1897
In the northeastern rim is built to a design by Joseph pl. Vancaša monumental palace
First Croatian Savings Bank, and along the southeastern palace Farkas.
Among the first on the western edge of the square 1886th built house Granitz.

At the northern end of the square is the Orthodox Church of St. Transfiguration, built in 1866th
Southern rim of the square is marked Joseph Siebenschein palace, built 1873rd to 187th
Monument to Peter Preradović set 1954th
In April 2011th has been open to mall CVJETNI.

Today, the square can be accessed from six parties: the Varšavska street from the west, from Preradovićeva the street from the south,
Bogovićeva the street from the East, through the passage of Ilica OKTOGON from the northeast, and the Preobraženska and MARGARETSKA the north
