GIRL WITH A SEAGULL, OPATIJA
Sculpture was made by sculptor Car and it was set in 1956. and turned into one of the symbols of Opatija.
In its place before it was demolished by a storm stood the statue of "Madonna del Mare" by Rathautski from Graz. "Madonna" was set to watch over the soul of Count Arthur Kesselstdata that went missing in the sea near the this cape in 1981. A variant of Madonna can be seen today at the Church of St. Jacob.
