Husnjakovo is one of the richest Paleolithic Neanderthal man in Croatia and Europe. What is the geological, paleontological, archaeological site paleoantropološki and protected as a palaeontological nature monument. It is located near the center of Krapina, the Hušnjak hill. The first finds were discovered by locals who encountered them on the sand digging.
