A lawyer, writer, politician (08.11.1814. - 08.04.1890.)

Mazuranic was one of extraordinary personas of 19th century in which patriotism, talent, poetry, reformist ideas in law and political wisdom were united. In a series of difficult political situations he has proved to be a capable and skillful diplomat and a great statesman, whose far-sighted moves in the creation of Croatian statehood were politicaly evaluated only after his death. Due to the introduction of many reforms he is still considered as the creator of the modern Croatian state.
