PEASANT´S REVOLT MUSEUM

Peasants' Revolt Museum in the castle Oršić shows a complete picture of the historical, social and cultural developments in the Zagorje region of the Middle Ages to the mid-19th century, or the official abolition of serfdom.

The statue of the leader of the uprising, Gubec, sculptor Anthony Augustinčić, observes the scene of bloody battles with the hill above the picturesque Upper Stubica, near the castle Oršić.
Next to the monument, the Castle of the Counts Oršić, a Baroque building built on the former site of a medieval castle, there is a museum of peasant rebellions that our exhibition returns to the feudal society and the struggle for the old rights.
Besides the parish church of St. George is Gupčeva cents, over 400 old years, a protected natural monument.
