CHURCH OF THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY IN HEAVEN AND VOTICE CHAPEL, MOLVE

The forerunner of today's church is first mentioned in written records in 1334 and 1501 mentioned as Proštenišna church which depicts the Statue of Our Lady Molvarske, a gift from the monks Prekodravlje.

The parish was founded 1665.g. Designed by architect Francis Klein, was completed in 1862, on a hill Krbuljin, neoromanske church building today in the form of a Latin cross with a tower height of 45 meters. The church interior is decorated with 26-fresco painter painting Zagreb M. Antoninia. Molve Church of the Assumption B.D. Mary in Heaven with the miraculous statue of Our Lady Molvarske are one of the most famous and largest Marian shrine in Croatia.  The votive chapel was built 1900.godine one altar in Gothic style. Miraculous statue of Our Lady Molvarske late Gothic is the work of 1480.g (or 1380.g.) The statue is made of linden wood and exposed in the chapel on the public worship of the people. Every year on the Feast of the Assumption, the statue in the procession passed to the church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into heaven.
