Tourist Board of the Nin organizes Šokol Fiesta - a unique culinary event in the country. The first event was held 2003rd year. The event consists of preliminary and final part. The main objectives are the promotion, contest and tasting indigenous Nin products. Long promotion throughout the event, helped by the media, hawk - a rare and unique product in the restaurant industry has become a trademark (brand) of Nin and Zadar region.

Šokol Fiesta is encouraged increased production in young people Nin region. Few details about the product: Sokol is mandatory offer in restaurants, Nin, and becomes recognizable delicacies in Croatia. Sokol is produced by the original recipe in the Nina and the surrounding area since ancient times. It is a cured pork product made from pork neck.

Placed in salt for several days, then dipped in red wine, cooked and prepared with the addition of various spices. After that, put on a few days and smoke billows in the wind. In every family kept the original recipe and only transmitted orally.
