
TOMISLAV IVČIĆ
Born in Zadar, has become one of the famous Croatian singers and composers of his time, thanks to numerous appearances on popular music festivals in the 1970s.

He had s successful musical career mostly inspired by Dalmatian folklore, but also with famous Italian Canzona. In his rich singing and composing career he wrote over 200 songs and lyrics and recorded 23 albums that have sold in 2.5 million copies.
During the Homeland War in Croatia, Ivčić composed and sang a song in English, "Stop the War in Croatia". In 1990. He became a member of the Croatian Democratic Union. In February 1993. he run for a seat in the Croatian Parliament at the elections and won. Several weeks prior to taking s position he dies in a car accident in Zagreb-. Three more people were killed. He was buried at the cemetery Mirogoj.
