
ULYSSES CAVE, ISLAND OF MLJET
Mljet, as many Adriatic islands, characterized by steep, inaccessible parts of the coast around which is always interesting adventure stories interwoven. One of the legends associated with the island of Mljet recounts how the shipwrecked Odysseus its rocks, then hid in a cave which now bears his name.
The story goes that at the time ruled the island of the nymph Calypso, whose charms Odysseus could not resist and was taken prisoner on the island of Mljet remained seven years.
