The oldest sacred object in Zelina region built in early 13th century.
Chapel of St. Peter in Novo Mjesto is the oldest sacred building in Zelina. Research shows that the chapel was built in the early 13th century in the Romanesque style. The first "rich" mural chapel probably dates from the early 14th century, and depicts the legend of St. Ladislav and his battle with Kumanovo. This view of the legend of St. Ladislav is considered the oldest surviving depiction of its kind in the area of Croatian-Hungarian kingdom, and therefore causes a lot of attention of scientists of the Croatian and Hungarian.
