
ETNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM RUPE, DUBROVNIK
The permanent exhibition shows the traditional culture of the Dubrovnik region - economic, material and spiritual.
The renovated building barns holes opened in 1991. The new permanent exhibition Ethnographic Museum, whose collection contains about 5000 items. In the barn, the building of the 1590th year, which was built by the Dubrovnik government in the oldest part of town, on the island of lava, preserving the city's grain reserves in 15 large-capacity wells carved in stone on the ground. The renovation preserved the original appearance of the ground floor, opened the three-hole wells, architecturally accentuated by a fence. Photo shows the history of the building. The permanent exhibition shows the traditional culture of the Dubrovnik region - the economic and material on the first floor and the spiritual (customs, folk costumes, folklore, textiles and lace) on the second floor.
