
GLAGOLITICI ALLEY,ROČ - HUM
The unique monument complex, set to a length of 7 km from Roc to Hum an eleven o'clock memorials, the oldest Croatian script - Glagolitic alphabet, as an important part of the Istrian history.
Glagolitic Alley is a tourist and cultural attractions in northern Istria. It seems a series of 11 monuments erected between the Istrian town of Roc and Hum, and in honor of the first Slavic Glagolitic alphabet.
It is located along the road that leads from the village of Roc to the smallest city in the world, Hum. Roc has not chosen randomly, but with good reason, because the Roc of 13 century was a powerful center of Glagolitic literacy and literature. In this alley there are sculptures in the form of letters glagoljičnih. The total length of the alley is seven kilometers. This avenue was created as a project Chakawian. The idea is for it gave the Croatian writer Zvane Crnja, and was designed by the sculptor and professor Janes came again.
The project was completed 1977th year.
