Hospitals and clinics are located in all major cities and ambulance and pharmacies in all places. Foreign tourists do not pay for medical services if the Health Care Convention (Convention on medical care) was signed between the Croatian and the country of origin. Costs of medical services provided to persons coming from countries with which the Convention on the medical care was not signed are charged directly to the price list. For patients whose lives are in danger is emergency transport by air (helicopter) or sea (speedboat). Tourists can also avail the services of private doctors and dentists where you pay full price for medical services.
