Born in 1924. in Slatina. 
Composer, teacher and musical writer Milko Kelemen its activities worldwide reputation stands at the head of a group of Croatian composers, which was introduced in the Croatian music heritage of abstract musical art of the twentieth century. Milko Kelemen is now arguably the doyen of Croatian and world avant-garde music, and one of the few Croatian artists who have made brilliant artistic career around the world.
Composing for his rich oeuvre (about 130 works), and educational work was awarded numerous awards and recognitions, including the major European Culture Award for 2007. year, the German Order Großes Bundesverdienstkreuz Culture (1973)., French Order of Chevalier des Arts et des lettres. (1980), award the Order of Croatian Danica with the image of (1995.), Award of Lifetime Achievement (1984.) medals states Hungary and Argentina. Since 1999.
