The inlet of Palud, eight kilometers southwest of Rovinj, is the first and so far the only "special ornithological reserve" in Istria. Ornithologists have recorded the Palud stay more than 200 species of birds. Since the park is not advocating hunters, here is a rich habitat for pheasant, partridge and quail. There continued to live and breed various species of wild ducks, coots, ducks and snipe, Warbler, Golden Orioles, woodpeckers, pipits, svrački ... With the dense native forest with beautiful specimens of oak and holm, the northern part of the swamp and the rights of rainforest with huge willows. Wetlands may be about to ride to their full scope of a special privilege to provide you with a gazebo where you can watch the birds. Trail rides are quiet, quietly and slowly so as not to disturb the many birds.
