Park Opatovina Topusko several times in the campaign Green Flower , was voted the most beautiful park in Sisak - Moslavina in 2006. He was awarded the title of Second Best-landscaped park in the continental Croatia .

It all started back in the early 13th century when King Andrew II had built a monastery with the church , and gave it to the use of French Cistercians who ruled here almost 400 years , until the invasion of the Turks . Even then , the monastery were planted the first tree, and in the early 19th century , by order of the Austrian Emperor Francis I, for his visit Topusko in 1818. created deliberately planted park . The whole area is dominated by the remains of the Gothic portal of the church of the Blessed Virgin Mary , the only thing that has so far remained of the monastery and church . Opatovina Park abounds with rare trees , special kinds tulipanovca and sawmills , and in his deep shade , by carefully manicured trails for hundreds of years visitors medicinal baths in Topusko enjoy taking walks and rest .
