The legend of Peter Mount

Different interpretations of the origin of the name of Petrovac, and Petrova Gora. According to legend, the mountain got its name after the last Croatian boarding, which is supposedly just the 1097th was killed in battle with the Hungarian conquerors. Legend confirms record Hungarian historian Simeon de sneer in 1385. that killed the last king of the medieval Croatian state, and this indicates more toponyms such as the King's grave on the eastern slopes of Petrovac.
Old Croatian name for Mount Peter was Gvozd, which means a forest, and from around 1200. The Hungarians began to call Petur Petrov Goz or worse. It should be noted that the slopes and hills inhabited by the mountain far more people than after the Turkish invasion. Once they went as far east meadows and arable land much closer to Petrovac, and there you greatly born, and even vines.
