Battle near Savudrija has divided historians into two groups. According to some this event is one of the legends, and in others it is the truth. This battle occurred in 1177th between the Venetian galleys one the one side and galleys of Pazin on the other. The latter have sided with the Emperor Frederic Barbarossa, and there were 75, while the Venetian galleys, equipped thanks to the Istrian cities, any top 30.  It is written to the Doge Sebastiano Ziani hid in the Piran Bay and suddenly attacked enemy ships and won.
