One of the most beautiful early Byzantine churches in Europe.

Porec has one of the most beautiful early Byzantine churches in Europe, called by name Euphrasian Basilica Poreč bishops who in the 6th Century had a splendid three-nave basilica at the site of an older church. In 1997. whole, the whole complex (the church, baptistery, atrium and the former Bishop's Palace) was added to UNESCO's World Heritage List. Particularly interesting are the magnificent mosaics in the apse, and a marble slab with inlaid in mother of pearl and colored stone.
