MONASTERY OF SAINT NICHOLAS, ORAHOVICA

The famous Orthodox monastery.

In the mountainous area Krndija, 8 km west of Orahovica is well known Orthodox Monastery of St.. Nicholas. The monastery was built in 1594th on the grounds of the monastery hermitage of St. rows. Augustine. The cultural importance of the monastery is preserved frescoes that have continued famous Moravian school of painting.
