LAKE BOROVIK

Borovik is an artificial lake located west of Djakovo.

Borovik is an artificial lake located west of Djakovo.

It is created by building damn on river Vuka in 1978. The lake has an area of 160 hectares with a depth up to 15 m and length of approximately 7000 m, average width of approximately 300 m and total water capacity of 8.5 million m3. At the site of the present lake was once a settlement Borovik after which it was named. 
Borovik was one of the most attractive place for carp fishing (carps weighing up to 30 kg) and perch fishing (weighing 2 kg or more) in Croatia and this part of Europe.
