HIKING ON ISLAND PELJEŠAC

The highest peak, St. Ilija (961 m), it is best to take a circular tour which takes about 5:30 h. We recommend that you start in Ruskovića, above the village of Orebic led by the steepest path "beyond cable", along the wooded ravine to the plateau top.

Will surprise you with another person peninsula, green and fertile, which opens when you peek behind the rock barrier. When's forestry or so. The old house (800) separates the path to the top and one for the return of over Bilopolje.  At the top is the view of the attractive ridge peninsula, the islands of Mljet, Korcula and Hvar, the Neretva channel and attractive mountain. It is especially nice view of the village of Duba on the north side of the peninsula. The ridge route would be a very interesting tour, but it is not marked, so it's up to most ardent hikers. Return through Bilopolje very diverse - crossing the fertile plateau, the pine forest and the southern slope of which provides rich horizons, especially in the town of Korcula. The road passes by the Franciscan Monastery of Our Lady of the Angels, and besides the beautiful chapel of Our Lady of Carmel among the centuries-old cypress trees.
