An indispensable part of the "Makarska summer" is a "big carnival" which in every respect is one of the major attractions Makarska fun-tourism. In addition to regular participants - citizens of Makarska, each year in the summer carnival and part tourist town and carnival groups from cities around the "beautiful land" and the world. Summer Carnival brings together young and old, singers and dancers. Masked carnival participants are passing along the waterfront and downtown in šašavoj parade. Guests like to put a variety of masks and joined the procession of kings, pirates, sirens and other exotic creatures.
