
TURANJ
Turanj has a promenade "lungo mare" connected with the center of St. Philip and James, and before that in the immediate vicinity of the island Babac.
Turanj was named by the remains of a medieval fortress. In the center there is a church dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel from the fifteenth century, whose feast is celebrated in particular, so that during the summer season with this festivity and Turanjski fest that attracts visitors with its traditional program. Outside the resort near the coast is the church of Sv. Mary Tukljača, and on the island Babac of St.. Andrew (XIII to XV century). Above the town on the Black Circle, who is now a viewpoint that can be reached by bicycle or walking trail, there is a fort from the Iron Age, and is also interesting archaeological area Tukljača. Turanj today has numerous private rooms and suites as well as a large number of small campsites and good restaurants that will satisfy even the most fastidious.
