At the end of 50-ies, 20 century, the foundation of the company Viržinija dealing with production, purchase and processing of tobacco, tobacco growing is moving in these areas. Tobacco is today one of the major crops grown by farmers in the Drava and part of Slavonia. Croatian tobacco became part of Tobacco Factory, today one of the leading companies in Croatia.
