Ideas for weekend

Sort Gegić discovered in Vienna, it is indeed an indigenous variety that is grown only on the island of Pag and its surroundings. Not genetically identical to any known varieties. Gegić and protected geographical origin and it produced good quality wine which has won several medals at wine fairs. Gegić is one of 200 domestic old Dalmatian wine grape varieties (as maraština, turbijan, bogdanuša, Vugava, kurtelaška, puljižanac, žilavka, backpack silbanjski ...)

Ever since ancient times, wine was the production of salt was the most important industry of the island. Therefore choosing St. George Martyr and Patron laborer jobs for their patron Pag has determined their fate. In the Old City just above the "Great sources" are still remnants of the church of St. Martin patron growers.
Company "Wines of the island of Pag" heritage today more than two thousand years old tradition of grape and wine production on our island. To this day, we managed to revitalize the old Pag sort Gegić of which produce quality wine. Our goal is to produce wine from other grape varieties that once existed on the Island, such as the Topol, Petovka, Cyprus, Silbijanac, Galac and Gustopupica we gathered in the experimental vineyard near the winery.
The winery is located on the fourth kilometer road from Pag to Zadar, we opened the store for you with space for wine tasting.
