CHURCH OF ST. PETER IN SUPETARSKA DRAGA
The church was built as a basilica, and was recently restored.
The church was built in 1059. It is the oldest church on the island, next to it once stood the oldest Benedictine monastery. The monastery was founded by Bishop Drago who, in 1071., received permission from Petar Kresimir IV. to establish a monastery. The church was built as a basilica, and was recently restored. It is known as one of the best preserved Roman buildings on the east coast of Adriatic.
