
HRELJIN FORT
Hreljin fort is now crumbling remain of the medieval town Hreljin.
Except the remains of city walls and various other objects, two church buildings are preserved. Chapel of the Blessed Virgin Mary is the best preserved building of the old town Hreljin, with great certainty is assumed to be built in 1699.
Last inhabitants of the old Hreljin were three priests who finally and forever in 1790. left old Hreljin and went to live in new Hreljin of today. Since then, the old Hreljin is abandoned and left to the spirit of the past.
Old Town Hreljin preserves the memory, glory and importance of past times.
