Ideas for weekend

The stream divided Kaptol and Gradec, and the location of today's Bloody Bridge Street there was a bridge connecting them. Scary name reminds us of the bloody conflicts of the population of these two settlements in the Middle Ages.

In the 18th century on the creek were flour mills, and later manifakture of cloth, soap, paper, liquor, leather, ...
1898th creek is converted in the first city sewers.
In the period from 1899 to 1941 almost every house in Tkalca was a brothel. Zagreb had Bludilišni ordinance issued 1899.godine. In that time in Zagreb was officially 46 prostitutes. As the brothels were located in the city center it  had to have windows of transparent glass and red lights at the entrance ..
Zagreb is in that was one of the first cities in Europe.

Today Tkaličićeva is colorful street full of cafes, restaurants, boutiques and unavoidable promenade citizens of Zagreb
