The first factory which was producing torpedoes was built in Rijeka. It was founded by the English industrialist Robert Whitehead for the Austro-Hungarian Navy. At that time Rijeka was the world center of modern industry, and the factory "Torpedo" produced most advanced technological solutions. Goldsmith Tonci Grabusic created a genuine souvenir of Rijeka - a pen in the shape of the torpedo, which was able to restore fame to this somewhat forgotten invention.
