MALI STON BAY
Mali Ston Bay is traditionally Shellfish growing area with only two species: the oyster, Ostrea edulis and galloprovincialis mussel Muytilus.
Traces of cultivation of oysters in the bay date from the period of Roman rule in this area. The first written documents about the harvesting of shellfish originates from 16. century.
