On three sides it is framed with 24 granite pillars. On the lateral side it is bordered with two rows of pillars in the Corinthian style connected together with arches. The sides of the facades were decorated with two sfingas one of which even today sits in the square almost perfectly preserved. The front of the square is divided in two parts: the upper one leads to Vestibule, and the lower stairs to the cellars of the palace.
