Ideas for weekend

The city of Trogir was founded by Greek colonists from the island of Vis 3. century BC. In Central Europe it was considered to be the best preserved Romanesque-Gothic city. The castle and tower, surrounded by walls, make the core of Trogir. The most important cultural monument is the cathedral, whose western portal gate is made by famous Master Radovan. Trogir is situated on the coast of the Kastela Bay, the island between Čiovo and the mainland to which it is connected with the stone bridge. Trogir delights visitors with cultural and historical monuments, narrow streets and art collections with many masterpieces. Entering the sacred objects some less known details of history are revealed. Trogir is one of those cities, which is best seen with the professional leadership guide, out of season and the tourist crowds.
