Plomin, through which passes the road from Rijeka to Pula, located on the site of preantique ruins. The old name Plomin Flanona hence the old name Flanatička Bay - Sinus Flanaticus - by which in the ancient times was called the whole Kvarner. Plomin parish church belfry is 19 meters high, while the smaller (15 m) belongs to the Romanesque church of St.George from the 11th century. In this chapel near the parish, is kept one of the oldest Glagolitic stone monuments, Plomin inscription from the late Roman era relief depicting a character with a twig in his hand that was in the 11th century carved text of old Croatian Glagolitic alphabet: SE E PIS / L / S (a pencil with a; wrote this s ..). Embossed figure linked to the presentation of the Illyrian-Roman god Silvanus, the guardian of forests, animals and plants, respectively, of St. George, patron of spring crops and horsemen. On the outer wall of the church is the outflow of relief. In St. George is the ex voto images, votive gifts plominskih seafarers
